Administers and performs therapeutic exercise; assists with home safety assessments. Maintains residents' self-esteem, privacy and confidentiality of personal information. Provides residents with opportunities for independence and choice consistent with their care plans. Documents services provided. Provides training on programs, adaptive equipment and positioning. Receives and shares information; provides direct consultation with physician and/ or interdisciplinary team members. Work closely with Restorative Nurse and assist to manage restorative program.QualificationsPrior work experience in a rehabilitation / geriatrics setting is preferred. Completion of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program; licensure for the state of practice, if required.Basic occupational therapy skills.Basic ability to communicate and comprehend.
