DataStaff, Inc. is currently seeking a
Network Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in North Charleston, SC. Scope of the Project:- Design and document existing as well as future network designs.
- Set up a NOC/SOC designed for network monitoring and analysis
- Configure switches, routers, and other network devices as needed.
- Maintain and develop critical cloud and on-premise physical and virtual network infrastructure.
- Evaluate network designs for optimization and future upgrades.
- Train and assist other technicians in complex tasks or technologies.
- Evaluate security of network devices and recommends updates.
- Perform software updates on Network devices.
- Serve as a subject matter expert.
- Collaborate with staff and with other IT teams.
- Provide time and cost estimates.
- Hands-on experience installing and supporting Cisco Network devices
- Ability to work high-volume fast paced projects
- Meets deadlines
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and prioritize workload
- Technical and business writing
- 4-6 Years: Local Area Network (LAN)
- 2-4 Years: Network access policies
- 2-4 Years: Network Administration
- 1-2 Years: VPN - virtual private network
- 1-2 Years: Datacenter, Cloud and Network Infrastructure
- 4-6 Years: Knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP, NTP, DNS, MLLP, NDM
- 1-2 Years: Azure Cloud and Virtualization
- 4-6 Years: Network
- 2-4 Years: Network Engineering experience
- Experience with designing multi-site WAN networks
- Experience with Datacenter (Nexus) network design and Azure integration
- Experience with configuring and managing Cisco IOS Devices.
- Knowledge of higher education business processes and systems
- Azure VPN and Network connections to on Premesis Datacenter
- Associate’s Degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience
- CCNP
