Description:
We, Laudisi Enterprises, the parent company of Smokingpipes.com, Laudisi Distribution Group, Cornell & Diehl, and Low Country Pipe & Cigar, are looking for writing talent to join our team. Our copywriters work with direction and a ton of resources to produce product descriptions for Smokingpipes.com and other properties for Laudisi Enterprises, among bits of written content. We’re looking to hire someone who can write creative, compelling and well-researched descriptions about pipes, from historically significant pieces that date back to the late nineteenth century, to recent art works by the most prominent independent artisans in the business today. All our copywriters have opportunities to create longer form and more dynamic content as their skills as writers develop and as their understanding of briar pipes, pipe tobacco, and the history of pipe making deepens.
If you're an engaged, enthusiastic pipe smoker that pays attention to what’s going on in the world of pipes today (eg. you go to pipe shows, you follow pipe makers on Instagram) this could be the perfect opportunity for you so long as you’ve got the writing chops.
The role:
Copywriters! Are you ready to move up from hit-or-miss freelance, to a full-time copywriting position with an established, highly-regarded company in the pipe industry? Are you willing to do the work and research necessary to grow with us? Would you enjoy working alongside experts in a collaborative environment that offers up plenty of rewarding challenges, yet remains fun and intimate in nature?
Necessary Position Skills:
Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal, but especially written, obviously
A willingness to learn a lot about an industry you may have never paid much attention to before, and the ability to engage in research
Personable, professional, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work with employees at all levels in the organization
Thrives on working in a highly collaborative environment
Proficiency in a Windows based environment and internet savvy
Drive directed towards personal and professional growth
Most of all must have a love for and background in writing!
Bonus Skills:
Enthusiasm for pipes and pipe tobacco
Previous experience creating sales copy

Health insurance: Company pays 65-75% of employee's premium, depending on plan, & 20% of dependent's premium.
401(k): Company matches up to 4% of pay.
