Volt Workforce Solutions is currently looking for 2nd Shift (3:30p to 2a) Operator Associates to work at our client's facility in Lexington, SC.Under minimal supervision, the Operator will be responsible for basic operation of machining equipment, and for the assembly of various tools. You will also be responsible for packaging the product for shipment.The Operators will report to a Production Supervisor responsible for these departments. He or she will work closely with Team Leads, Machinists, and other operators in their daily work to ensure on-time delivery of parts and products to customers.This position will be paid $16.00/hour.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate various machining equipment to produce components for assemblyRetrieve product components from storage bins or locations and place on production tableAssemble product components according to specification using power and hand toolsUse quality processes and checks to ensure product functionality and adherence to specificationOperate packaging equipment to place finished good on product card or in packagingMaintain production log, recording hour-by-hour production rates for self and othersPromote 5S within the respective cell or area, cleaning equipment as neededOther duties and responsibilities as needed to be successful in the roleCritical Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED equivalent is requiredPrevious work experience in a machining or assembly environment is preferredMust have a high level of hand and arm dexterity to assemble small components at rateMust possess prolonged stamina due to the frequency and duration of operation and assemblyAbility to have a high level of attention to detail for extended periods of timeAbility to occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs and move in a full-range of motionAbility to work daily or weekly overtime, and alternate shifts as neededAbility to stand for duration of required shiftAbility to work in a team environmentVolt is an EEO Employer.
