Purchasing Manager
Progressive and growth-oriented [location] homebuilder seeks an experienced Purchasing Manager. The company specializes in custom homes and offers a positive and upbeat work environment. Excellent opportunity to join a growing company.
Position requires a passionate and effective individual who can multi-task, meet deadlines and enjoys details. They will execute purchasing and cost control systems as well as play an important role in customer quotes. The ideal candidate will have significant purchasing experience in residential construction as well as the following qualifications:
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years experience in purchasing for a residential builder.
Energetic, organized and detail-oriented.
Exceptional computing skills and be able to learn new software
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Solid knowledge of residential building practices.
Full understanding of building materials from foundation to finish
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
Work well with other people - a team player and willing to back up other positions.
Bachelor's degree, advanced degree a plus.
Field construction experience a plus.
