Established Apartment Community searching for a reliable Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team and perform the day-to-day running of our apartment communities. The Apartment Maintenance Technician's responsibilities include cleaning communal areas, completing turnovers/make-readys, painting, electrical, and carpentry duties, as well as servicing appliances. You should also resolve tenants' maintenance-related queries and complaints in a timely, satisfactory manner as they arise.

A successful Apartment Maintenance Technician should have a positive attitude and be detailed, organized, and motivated demonstrating a thorough approach to their duties.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Complete turnovers/make readys

Repairing and unclogging toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and exterior drains.

Installing and repairing wires, plugs, and switches.

Ongoing preventative maintenance procedures.

Janitorial duties in communal areas.

Painting communal areas.

Disposing of trash found in communal areas.

Tracking inventory to ensure that you have adequate maintenance supplies.

Ensuring that fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, and emergency exits remain in excellent working condition at all times.

Regular inspection of grounds, buildings, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment as directed to include backflow, sprinkler, and fire extinguisher systems.

Scheduling repairs that warrant special technical skills.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years prior experience as an Apartment Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.

HVAC, EPA refrigerant, or equivalent certification required.

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 70 pounds without assistance.

Dexterity and attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Ability to use property management software to access move ins, move outs, and incoming work orders.

Available to work on weekends and after hours on call, as required.
