We are a global healthcare company that produces essential plasma-derived medicines for patients and provides hospitals and healthcare professionals with the tools, information and services they need to deliver expert medical care.The Manager, Instructional Design (ID) will be responsible for enabling engaging learning experiences by leading a team in producing high quality content that achieves learner success. Suggests models for designing or redesigning courses based upon improving learning and where applicable, practice-based outcomes. Performs a wide variety of tasks, from designing training materials and guides in addition to incorporating complex interactive multi-media. Leverages tools and technologies to appropriately support a variety of learning delivery methods for face-to-face classroom instruction, simulation based skills training, e-Learning, webcasts, webinars, audiocasts, podcasts, vodcasts, mobile learning and/or blended course strategies.● Team leader responsible for the development and scaling of the instructional design team.● Conduct needs analysis with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to define instructional objectives, business outcomes and overall requirements of learning solutions.● Develop and deliver creative programs for all levels of employees from new hire to experienced leaders.● Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments● Establish a culture of continuous improvement within ID using outcome based evaluations to continuously evaluate the effectiveness and return on investment of individual programs, products and services.● Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to identify and understand their learning and development needs to assure the business objectives of GPO are met.● Design and develop learning strategies and solutions that are performance-focused, effective, engaging and innovative.● Apply adult learning theories and principles in the design and development of instructional materials with a variety of delivery methods including instructor led training, classroom, virtual, eLearning, self-study and blended learning.● Conduct needs assessment and create performance based learning objectives in an effort to design and develop learning solutions that yield business results.● Make recommendations to ensure performance outcomes are identified and integrated into learning outcomes.● Be an influential thought partner in the development of the long term vision and strategic direction of the L&I department.● Develop and implement follow up activities to reinforce the retention, understanding and application of performance based curriculum.● Manage vendor and partner relationships ensuring the highest quality standards are met.● Maintains compliance training programs to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations, EMA, the FDA approved Standard Operating Procedure manual, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP and customer requirements.Ability to develop a vision for adopting emerging educational technologies that address teaching and learning needs for GPO Ability to plan, direct, implement and evaluate learning technology programs. Knowledge of current practices in the administration of technology based learning systems Excellent knowledge of Instructional design principles and best practices. Excellent knowledge of adult educational learning theories. Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to maintain a customer focus and achieve learning goals. Ability to manage, synthesize, and communicate complex information. Ability to present training and development programs and evaluate their effectiveness.Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Training and Development, Educational Technology, or related field. Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience, including experience managing a staff.
