FRANCIS HOSPITALPOSITION SUMMARYThe Patient Access Account Analyst will perform audits on patient accounts and quality control reports. The PAAA will develop, monitor and trend data regarding billing errors, Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire, coding, system interfaces and other quality improvement items to help determine Bon Secours St. Francis areas of opportunity and focus for denial prevention and audits. This includes extensive work on Unbilled Accounts, correcting and facilitating these claims to bill out in a timely manner.JOB REQUIREMENTS

Work requires the ability to read, write, follow oral and written instructions, perform mathematical calculations accurately and communicate effectively at a level acquired through completion of a high school education. Some college is preferred.

Requires an overall knowledge of all of Patient Access functions.

Ability to work independently, strong problem solving and critical thinking skills and conflict resolution is required.

Proficient in Microsoft Office products; with a preferred strong background in Excel and Power Point.

Strong billing and coding background preferred.

Above average proficiency in ConnectCare, and nThrive preferred.

Efficient typing skills of at least 45 wpm.

Three years of Patient Access experience is preferred.

Extensive knowledge of medical insurance.

Must be able to work under considerable stress using tact and diplomacy.

Must be able to meet strict deadlines.

Knowledge of Medicare products, billing and coding guidelines is preferred.
