Johns Island based leathergoods brand, focused largely on woodworking and other carpentry related trades, but with interest in pursuing new business in food & beverage, barbershops, gardening or any other locale where a handmade leather apron might be used.
Our business is growing rapidly, thanks in large part to an increase in IG following from 5k to 20k in 2019. We are looking to crank things up in the new year with some dedicated content production + management and believe that a goal of 50k by year end is not unrealistic.
Excellent opportunity to build your skillset and gain valuable experience under a former VP of Marketing for a well-known national brand (in the trades, at least!), with emphasis on photo/video production and the use of social platforms as a means to build and grow a business.
This is a paid position, open to anyone of any age with foundational skills, whether basic or advanced. Pay is $12-15/hour, commensurate with experience. Up to 20 hours a week¦ more if youre crushing it.
Primary duties:
- Photography and videography, plus editing thereof.
- Bake content into a coherent narrative, based on the business calendar (promotions, gaws, new products, etc.).
- Write effective and engaging captions.
- Produce stories to increase engagement.
- Produce longer form, informational IG TV sessions.
- Merge content across additional platforms (FB, YouTube, etc.)
Ideal candidate will be proficient in the above tasks, but does not have to be an expert.
