Established and growing custom cabinet firm located just outside of Charleston, SC. is seeking a motivated Kitchen and Bath Designer. Attention to detail and technical accuracy in drawings is a must.
Responsible to meet with clients in our showroom, give needs assessment, generate Estimates, and create needed drawings. Our clients range from full custom where you work from a blank slate to create a project that fits their tastes and budget utilizing what we make, to simply converting architectural drawings supplied to us into usable shop drawings for production. This includes cabinet moldings, functional hardware, storage aids, premium accessories, fashion and custom finishes, etc. You need to be able to educate clients on what may be best, and help
This position could be fulfilled by a recently graduated Kitchen designer novice seeking to start a career in this field to a well experienced individual.
The Preferred applicant will:
-Be professional, efficient, not wasting time, yet friendly at all times with internal and external peoples.
-Demonstrate good people skills, humble demeanor, with good listening habits, yet must demonstrate ability to lead a client through the process. Able to relate with and please a wide range of client types.
-Be comfortable in selling, as it relates to K&B work. Making contacts, leading prospects to a decision.
-Adaptable, likes to learn new things and able & willing to adopt change quickly
-Be a good problem solver.
-Need demonstrable experience using design software. Cabinet Vision would be optimal. Need to show designs you have drawn and compare to finish project with pictures.
-Able to design and draw build-able projects.
-Possess NKBA certification, or suitable verifiable related experience.
-Be able to do accurate on-site measurements and incorporate into drawings.
-Functionally knowledgeable in Google Office, or Microsoft Office suite.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
