We are looking for cooks interested in advancing their knowledge and experience in the culinary field. Successful candidates will demonstrate drive, a positive attitude, and attention to detail. AM and PM shifts available. ALL EXPERIENCE LEVELS ARE WELCOME. The ideal candidate will be punctual, dependable, focused, and hard working. James Beard Award winning Chef Mike Lata is looking for passionate cooks to join him in the kitchen at FIG and sister seafood restaurant The Ordinary, located in the heart of downtown Charleston.

The Ordinary is a Southern seafood hall and oyster bar located in an old bank that has been transformed into a modern, bustling American brasserie. Our menu celebrates the "merroir" of the Coastal Carolinas and the East Coast, and we strive to support local and regional fishermen, crabbers, oystermen, farmers and producers.

FIG is an unpretentious neighborhood restaurant led by James Beard Award winning Chef Jason Stanhope. We work with our local farmers, growers, fishermen, and purveyors to source products with integrity, flavor and soul, and incorporate these seasonal offerings into our menus nightly. The result is food that is honest, straightforward and pays homage to the bounty of the Lowcountry region we are so privileged to call home.

COMPENSATION

Hourly wage is determined based on experience. Benefits for full-time staff include paid sick time, dining discounts, overtime, and medical insurance options.
