Patient Scheduling/Patient Service Representatives
This position communicates effectively with patients by accepting either inbound or outbound calls to identify their needs. This may include reviewing protocols and patient history; scheduling/rescheduling/confirming/ canceling appointments; accepting electronic payments; processing prescription renewals; providing physician referrals; HIPAA verifications; registering or updating patient demographics; confirming insurance acceptance and electronic verification; may be required to interact with physician office staff either verbally or in writing; may provide technical support for on-line patient portal; and document all call outcomes. This position builds strong communication skills and standard knowledge of scheduling, including the ability to navigate confidently through basic protocols.
Part-Time Schedule - Must be available from 9:00am-4:00pm for the first 2 weeks of training.
After training must be available between the hours of 8:00am-6:00pm to work 20 hours per week.
There may be flexibility to work around scheduling conflicts (school, family, etc.) which will be determined at the time of interview.
Required Experience
1+ years' working experience
Preferred Experience:
Call center experience
Bilingual preferred (Spanish).
Medical/dental office or medical scheduling knowledge
