Job DescriptionCVS Health is focused on driving multi-million dollar enterprise-wide growth and has developed a clearly defined strategy for the future. Leading the development and execution of key growth initiatives, the Front Store Retail Planning and Analytics team is driving real transformation in our stores. The Director, Data Science will help us develop and implement the next generation of our analytics capabilities.Primary Roles and Responsibilities Include:

Provide the analytical insight that drive design of CVS’s future state vision in Front Store, health services, and other priority areas of the business

Lead the process to structure, design, and execute analytics plans across priority areas of innovation including: measurement, dash boarding, and ad-hoc analytics as needed

Analyze internal and external data sources in order to support the identification, refinement and sizing potential opportunities

Support the development of robust business cases to support and prioritize new concepts/opportunities by leveraging a variety of CVS data sources to extract relevant insights (e.g., ExtraCare, pricing, .com, etc.)

Think beyond the first cut of the analytical answer to identify relevant implications of the business and next steps to dig further

Engage and influence leaders across CVS functions in order to build alignment around vision, design and implementation

Drive insights and analytical processes to ensure execution and implementation of new initiatives fit with strategic purpose, and are delivered on time, and on budget

Required Qualifications

5+ years at a top management consulting firm, in relevant insights/analytics roles or in leadership roles in the healthcare industry.

3+ years of project management with problem solving skills and experience working on large-scale, inter-department projects

Preferred QualificationsThe candidate selected for this position will be a creative, out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious with a demonstrated interest in learning. This person will also need to be a self-motivated, high-energy individual who can easily function in a high demand, performance-driven environment. He/she must be accustomed to working onmultiple tasks in parallel. This professional must demonstrate strong leadership skills, notably the ability to gain credibility with team members and senior management.The successful candidate will have the ability to identify and define business problems and issues, and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analysis. A proven capability to conduct and manage quantitative portfolio and growth analysis. A passion for Healthcare. The ability to communicate effectively and succinctly, both verbally and on paper, and with all levels of an organization.
