Job DescriptionThe Analytics and Strategy Senior Manager – Pharmacy Product Optimization is an opportunity to join a newly forming team focused on transforming CVS Health to position itself as an industry leader in reducing patient out-of-pocket costs and driving profit in some of the most challenging retail pharmaceutical categories. We’re looking for a Senior Manager to dissect the end-to-end sales within an assigned category. Ideally, the incumbent would have experience consulting in retail operations or finance.As an Analytics and Strategy Senior Manager - Pharmacy Product Optimization, you would join a very high impact team and would be assigned a specific strategic, pharmaceutical category, and you will have the responsibility to work cross-functionally to impact sales and improve gross margin within the category. A typical category will drive 50M prescriptions per year and $3-5B annually in sales. You will develop annual category business plans for 1, 3 and 5 years out, develop initiative strategies to improve sales and profitability, and monitor sales and margin trends relative to plan. There would be high exposure and the incumbent would be expected to present to senior-level executives on progress and recommendations.Primary responsibilities will include:-Monitor marketplace activity and holistic financial data at a drug and category level to forecast the impacts of external factors (e.g. changes in drug mix) and internal initiatives on future profitability

Analyze and manipulate data from various business sectors to derive insights and unlock value

Diagnose emerging trends across each of the key P&L drivers of profitability (gross profit, cost of inventory, shrink, third party audit bad debt, inventory write-offs) at a drug level

-Develop operational strategies to maximize profitability, create prospective initiative P&Ls, and obtain funding to start projects

Interact with and influence operational owners of the P&L who play various roles across the product lifecycle (e.g. Pharmacy Merchandising, Inventory, Pharmacy Operations, Product Development, Third Party)

-Develop and provide senior leaders with strategic recommendations to help drive sales and profitability within categoryThis position is based in our corporate headquarters in Woonsocket, RI.Required Qualifications

5+ years of demonstrated working experience in operational analytics, process improvement, operational design and implementation, pharmacy program development, financial modeling, merchandising, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with a retail Profit and Loss (P&L)

Experience working for a top-tier consulting firm

Experience with relational databases and beginning proficiency in SQL

Experience in the pharmacy industry and an understanding of pharmacy profitability

-Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills

Technical experience should include MS Office, Word, Excel PowerPoint, Access or other data base knowledge
