Job Description SummaryJob DescriptionThe Financial Planning & Analysis Associate Director will be responsible for producing reports and analysis for use by staff of all levels in daily operations and decision making. Position will also utilize quantitative skills and statistical software while building relationships with the Surgery team to generate insight that aid in the development of actionable strategies to enhance business results. They will identify and recommend improvements to existing processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and performance. The right candidate will possess the right balance of financial planning and analytical abilities in order to apply these traits to increase the performance of the business.Responsibilities to include, but are not limited to the following:

FP&A responsibility over US Region Selling, and WW R&D functions

Finance lead and core team member of Biosurgery platform

Manages the selection, orientation, development and retention of qualified staff to carry out the responsibilities of the accounting function. Ensures employee performance meets or exceeds expectations and periodic performance appraisals are conducted on a timely basis.

Manages the activities of the accounting function to ensure the timely reporting and accurate presentation of financial results.

Oversee the process of preparing of the annual budgets and forecasts for operating expenses for the business unit.

Manages the consolidation of commercial spending for the business unit.

Recommends and implements changes to streamline and improve the accounting and reporting systems

Ensures that all accounting activities follow generally accepted accounting principles and BD accounting policies and are executed within the appropriate guidelines of internal control/Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

Participates in acquisition due diligence as necessary

Performs special projects and other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Minimum 7 years of relevant accounting experience.

1-3 years of supervisory experience.

Must have capacity to use tact and judgment in dealings with customers and employees.

Must possess strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity to confidential matters.

Strong FP&A, general accounting experiences and financial reporting required.

Proficient in the use of a personal computer with intermediate level of keyboarding skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Strong interpersonal skills required in the areas of verbal and written communications, customer focus, professionalism, coaching and team building.

Demonstrates ability to coach and develop people.

Strong questioning & problem-solving analysis skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA and/or CPA/CMA preferred.
