Job Description:
Busy auto body shop is looking for a full-time Office Administrator. This position handles the day-to-day operations of the office: answering phones; assisting customers, insurance companies and insurance adjusters; scheduling appointments; and maintaining the estimating software data base.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up new customer files
Update estimating software system with required information related to: customer, vehicle,
claim/insurance and parts information
Close out files for repaired vehicles and accurately calculate amounts owed to shop
Update Google Office Calendar with vehicle drop-offs, appraiser visits, etc.
Follow up on receipt of insurance payments for claims and supplements
Place orders for parts
Take photos of damaged vehicles and upload to estimating software system
Coordinate rental cars for customers and update rental car data base
Daily contact with insurance companies, appraisers, customers and parts vendors
Required Qualifications:
MUST have at least 2 years of clerical/office work experience
Must be dependable, self-motivated and have a good work ethic
Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced office
Must have excellent customer service and communications skills
Must have excellent computer skills and literacy
PREFERRED- automotive industry knowledge and experience
PREFERRED- auto insurance knowledge and experience
Benefits & Salary:
Starting salary: $15.00 per hour (or higher, depending on experience and knowledge)
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
