We are hiring a part-time Customer Service & Technical Support specialist. This is an hourly position of approximately 20-30 hours per week with flexibility on schedule. The role has potential to grow into a full-time position over time, and qualifies for paid vacation and also participates in our company profit sharing bonus programs. Minimum 5 years work experience required.

Customer Service & Technical Support Specialist

Handle incoming phone calls, emails and chat for customer service and sales

Provide technical support and be the subject matter expert on our product to customers via phone, email and chat, including diagnostic troubleshooting, "how-to" training or technical usage questions.

Create outgoing shipments as needed for customer replacement parts or product replacements

Manage warranty support and warranty replacement process with customers

Assist customers with returns with some "hands on" activity in our workshop processing returned items

Some sales and marketing support activity as needed

Requirements:

Most important qualification is a can-do attitude and the ability to tackle the unexpected. We are a small but growing company and no job is too big or too small for any member of our team. Even the CEO gets his hands dirty here!

Great people person skills required and a personality that shines on the phone - you must like talking with people and have a kind, gentle and understanding approach to solving customers problems

Must be technically proficient with smartphones, Apps and generally good with technology - we are a company full of techies and love the same in others.

Must be willing to learn the product and all its features very proficiently.

Must be able to learn quickly, training will be on the job/hands-on

Must have good critical thinking/problem solving skills, be able to look at bigger-picture

Good typing and computer skills, proficient with Word, Excel spreadsheets

Must speak perfect English and have good writing skills

Must live within reasonable driving distance of Newport, RI
