of tax.Your keyresponsibilitiesYou

will spend a large portion of your time directly engaged incomplexcompliance

projects for our clients. This will be balanced with research, planning, and meetings

with senior colleagues. EY focuses on a variety of industries, including but

not limited to: automotive and transportation, consumer products, health and

life sciences, media and entertainment, mining and metals, oil and gas, power

and utilities, and technology.

Additionally, we have differentially invested in an industry structure

that focuses on financial services through our Financial Services Organization

(FSO). Candidates electing to join the FSO will focus exclusively in financial

services and will have opportunities to serve leading investment banks, retail

and commercial banks, insurers and investment managers. Whichever you choose, you’ll

responsibilities while discovering and developing your strengths and ambitions.How will I spend mostof my time?Below

are some examples of the meaningful work you will do in Tax from the moment you

join us, with support and guidance from mentors and more senior team members:

Handlingand supporting a wide variety of tax compliance processes

Assistingwith tax due diligence on behalf of a private equity firm

Preparingtax returns for large, international clients

Workingwith audit teams to determine whether tax accounts are appropriate forfinancial statements

Researchingtax code and writing memos for clients

Improvingthe tax effectiveness of supply chain structures

Developingand utilizing a diverse network of colleagues across the business

To qualify for the roleyou must have

Apredicted undergraduate degree in Accounting; graduate degree in Accounting orTaxation preferred; both supported by a strong academic record

Ademonstrable plan for passing the CPA exam

ExcellentEnglish language communication skills

Expertisein time management, and the ability to adapt to change under pressure

Stronganalytical and problem solving skills, and the confidence to translate complexinformation into insightful, actionable recommendations

Ahighly collaborative approach to work, and the personal integrity to supportnot only your team’s interests, but colleagues across a global business

Flexibilityand willingness to travel as well as work in excess of standard hours whennecessary

Adriver’s license valid in the U.S.

To qualify for the LawPath you must have

Apre predicted undergraduate degree in accounting and JD, or a JD and LLM in Taxation

Membershipor anticipated membership in a U.S. state bar or CPA

Ideally, you’ll alsohave

Experienceas an intern in any area of tax

Provenleadership skills

Experienceworking alongside colleagues at all levels of a business

Forthe Law Path, experience within a tax law clinic or tax law journal preferred
