Currently looking for a high-energy Medical Biller and Coder for an opportunity in Rhode Island. Interested candidates should have prior experience within a medical administration role and accounting, collections, cash receipts, and accounts receivables experience.

Responsibilities of the Medical Biller and Coder

— Prepare and submit bills using the organization's electronic billing system.

— Review and correct billing edits.

— Post payments, research, and resolve issues.

— Review claims to ensure documentation supports level billed.

— Research denied and outstanding accounts for resolution.

— Respond timely and accurately to incoming correspondence.

Qualifications of the Medical Biller and Coder

— Certified Professional Coder; CPC or CPC-A

— Certificate in Medical Billing and Coding

— Prior professional billing experience is ideal

— Utilization of ICD10 and CPT codes preferred

— Strong oral/written communication skills

— Multi-tasking abilities

— Proficiency with healthcare billing systems and Microsoft Office

— Strong attention to detail
