FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (FULL-TIME)
Magnetika, Inc. is a preeminent designer and manufacturer of quality custom magnetic components for defense, aerospace and industrial applications with three manufacturing facilities in the US. Our product line include magnetic electronic devices such as transformers, inductors, power supplies, converters and filters.
We have an amazing Facilities and Equipment Maintenance Technician opportunity at our Phillipsburg, NJ manufacturing operations.
The position is responsible for maintenance of the interior and exterior of the facilities (excluding grounds-keeping), and preventative maintenance and repair of all facilities equipment and production machinery.
Production Equipment Maintenance:
Works with production operations to ensure equipment are working properly;
Maintains electrical and mechanical equipment including network cabling;
Maintains air compressors, winding machines, vacuuming pumps, truck-in-ovens, hydraulics, and machine shop equipment;
Performs various tasks related to carpentry, plumbing, framing, drop ceilings, flooring and power washing;
Makes sure equipment PMs are completed in a timely manner;
Maintains and repairs equipment to minimize downtime, ensure timely completion of repairs, and maintains safe working conditions;
Assists with installation of production equipment.
Facilities Maintenance:
Inspects buildings, sites, and equipment for needed repairs and maintenance
Maintains HVAC units, plumbing, flooring, roofing, electricals etc. to ensure structural integrity of the facilities;
Provides daily and weekly reports on ongoing facilities and equipment maintenance status;
Performs functions related to carpentry, framing, welding, power washing and other mechanical processes using the proper tools;
Works with sub-contractors when needed;
Obtains quotes from vendors, and coordinates purchase of items needed for facilities and equipment maintenance projects;
Keeps maintenance shop clean and organized;
Notifies supervisor and management of parts inventory levels;
Responds to emergency maintenance requests, and troubleshoots issues to determine cause and solution;
Assist in the implementation of Magnetikas safety procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Maintenance experience with at least 5 years experience in facility and equipment maintenance is required.
Experience working with outside vendors and contractors;
Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills;
Proficient in computer use;
Forklift operation/certification required (Stand-up and Sit down) and Maintenance;
Welding experience a plus;
Electrical experience with single phase 120/240V systems, three phase 208/230/480V systems required;
Experience with Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
Hand and power tools;
Plumbing experience including drain, waste, vent (DWV) and supply
Proficiency in industrial mechanical systems, industrial electrical systems, industrial controls systems, and/or industrial electronics systems is preferred;
Ability operating forklift and company truck;
High school diploma or technical school necessary;
Good driving record;
Must be a team player with a positive can do attitude.
FACILITIES HOURS OF OPERATIONS:
Hours of Operation: Thursday, 6:300 A.M. to 5:00 P.M or Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm (Depending on department)
