CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Position Summary:
This position is accountable for the necessary maintenance duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according site's business goals and objectives. This can include HVAC equipment, boilers, chillers, pumps, motors, mixers, ovens, building maintenance and any other items required by management.

Job Responsibilities:
Operates shop tools, equipment, and as many machines related to maintenance as skill level will permit.
Checks and refills lubricant reservoirs, applies grease to lubricant points, replaces belts, inspects machinery while performing scheduled preventative maintenance.
Able to make repairs and adjustments to machinery and assist in dismantling all or parts of machinery to repair or replace defective components.
Assists in electrical projects and performs minor electrical repairs. Capable of diagnosing 115 VAC control circuitry.
Understands basic electrical and pneumatic diagrams.
Assists in pipe/tube fitting tasks and able to perform some installation tasks unassisted.
Designs, plans, and executes small projects.
Assists in the installation of new equipment and supports Management of Change program.
Maintains production/lab equipment in good operating condition while optimizing equipment uptime.
Utilizes computer programs to track and improve reliability and operating efficiency of equipment.
Conducts preventive maintenance tasks in a timely manner to insure operation of all equipment in an efficient and safe manner.
Supports site housekeeping and safety programs, maintaining a workplace that is clean and safe.
Writes work permits and ensures work being performed by outside contractors is aligned with Sherwin Williams safety policies.
Manages daily work. Independently performs basic tasks as outlined by Maintenance Lead to ensure smooth operation of building and equipment.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma
Preferred: Apprenticeship or Associates degree
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required: 2 years of experience within a lab, manufacturing, or maintenance environment
Preferred: Industrial, electrical, or welding certifications. Basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic theory.
TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS/PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
Applying general maintenance and repair principles and practices.
Operating a variety of hand and power equipment.
Reading and applying blueprints, schematics, and other information.
Ability to apply various principles and practices in a variety of skilled-trades areas.
Complying with safety and operational guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Communicating with co-workers to provide and receive direction.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
