The Public Communications Specialist is responsible for providing readily available communication advice and counsel to theAI Task Force Director, Deputy, and staff. Responsibilities to include: Create and execute internal and external focused mass communications plans, with an emphasis on: campaign development, product integration, writing, communication coordination, stakeholder communication, messaging, outreach and execution Research, coordinate, develop, edit and prepare briefings, articles, speeches, talking points, and handouts for senior leaders Submit content to AFC’s daily social media activity, submit articles to the AFC public affairs team, coordinating with AFC on a social media calendar with online activity, partnering with directorates and LOE owners to ensure proper online messaging and relevancy,ensuring message consistency across all digital media platforms, preparing reports on statistics, and monitoring all relevant social media sites. Plan, coordinate, and implement the strategic outreach with internal and external stakeholders and audiences in order to achieve strategic objectives.Requirements BS or BA degree in communication, journalism, or a related writing-intensive field Prior experience in the communications field supporting the U.S. Army Must have a solid command of writing articles, captions, and other products in Associated Press style Required experience in creating and executing internal and external focused mass communications plans, with an emphasis on: campaign development, product integration, writing, communication coordination, stakeholder communication, messaging, outreach andexecution Experience researching, coordinating, developing, editing and preparing briefings, articles, speeches, talking points, and handouts for senior leaders In-depth understanding of the AI media space and outlets to prepare value-added background and analysis to drive outreach and engagement Must have experience submitting content to AFC’s daily social media activity, submitting articles to the AFC public affairs team, coordinating with AFC on a social media calendar with online activity, partnering with directorates and LOE owners to ensureproper online messaging and relevancy, ensuring message consistency across all digital media platforms, preparing reports on statistics, and monitoring all relevant social media sites. Experience supporting plans, coordination, and implementation of strategic outreach with internal and external stakeholders and audiences in order to achieve strategic objectives. Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment, with the ability to work alone or as part of a teamSECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level0 (Having an active Secret clearance is preferred).
