East Bay Motorsports, a multi-line franchise motorcycle shop, has an opening for a very experienced Service Manager. The Service Manager is responsible for day to day operations, long term and strategic planning, and the fiscal responsibility of the Service Dept. Position involves staff management, scheduling, maintenance, and supply management, among many other tasks.
Primary Responsibilities:
Shop Operations: opening, closing, checking vehicles in and out, inventory control of supplies, shop maintenance
Hiring, scheduling, motivating and supervising Service Dept staff
Warranty administration
Fiscal Responsibility: actively manage expenses to achieve department goals
Strong Candidate Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Lightspeed EVO program
3 years MINIMUM Motorcycle or Automotive Service Dept management experience, including hiring/supervising staff
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong multi-tasking ability
Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to quickly and efficiently process paperwork and various types of communications
Must be proficient in email, word, and excel. Must show a basic understanding of computers and be able to learn factory and dealership computer systems.
Excellent customer service skills
