Snowmakers needed at Killington/Pico Ski Resort! Create the most extensive snow surfaces in the East! This specialized team is responsible for making large volumes of high quality snow on the trails and is in charge of maintaining snow guns, waterlines, hydrants and high pressure pumps. You must be safety conscious and able to hike and work in extreme weather conditions.
The typical week is (4) 12 hour shifts, with occasional opportunities for a 5th shift some weeks. Most positions are for the night shift, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. Due to the seasonal nature of the position, you must be available to work weekends and holidays. This is a very challenging, rigorous and physically demanding position. Will be working outside for at least 4-6 hours per run and usually 2 or 3 runs per shift, in temperatures that are extremely cold at times. Must have basic mechanical skills. Training is provided. Work is outdoors in extreme cold.
Length of seasonal employment may vary dependent on weather conditions. Many snowmakers also work in other mountain operations positions when snowmaking work is not available. (Full time-seasonal).
