The Senior Accountant oversees and tracks receivables and revenues while accurately maintaining the data used for decision making and reporting. Responsibilities include:
Maintain General Ledger and related schedules (including intercompany transactions), and prepare financial statements monthly.
Manage online banking, entering cancelled checks/deposits and verifying them in manual bank register and in accounting systems cash module.
Complete settlement accounting procedures per Standard Operating Procedures for all entities.
Enter all journal entries into the accounting software and maintain support for monthly entries. Ensure that reversing entries occur.
The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and a strong technical accounting background. Requirements include:
Minimum of 3 years accounting experience (experience in the construction industry and/or Sage 300 software a plus)
Bachelors degree strongly preferred
Strong attention to detail while multitasking
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Salary Range: $22.00 - $30.00/ hour (40-hour work week)
