Manufacturer's Representatives are responsible for maintaining and continuing to sell to existing accounts, and to identify sales opportunities with new accounts. Requires basic knowledge and skill to sell commercial and industrial refrigeration products with continued on the job training. Must be detail oriented, organized, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to work independently, efficiently, and to be pro-active to reach goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 1.) Establish and maintain a continuing positive relationship with existing accounts in an assigned area. 2.) Provide technical and sales support, including application engineering, BTUH load calculations and equipment selections to distributors, refrigeration contractors, OEM's and end users. 3.) Expand and grow sales/business opportunities with existing and new accounts, assuring customers are informed of newest and most innovative products. 4.) Attend and host factory tours and manufacturer sales meetings. 5.) Identify and promote strategic growth opportunities within the industry. 6.) Support sales efforts through technical training classes, product demonstration and presentations. 7.) Attend conferences and trade shows for maximum exposure of company product and capabilities. 8.) Stay informed of changes in the industry, including trends, new products and changes in regulations. 9.) Seize opportunities to promote the company and the brand. 10.) Troubleshoot issues to a successful resolution for the customer. 11.) Perform other duties sales professionals may be assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed inside and outside the office with regular travel within designated territory including occasional travel outside territory to visit manufacturers or attend trade shows. Weather conditions vary based on area assigned. Travel is mostly an occasional day trip with possible overnight stays required.

QUALIFICATIONS: College Degree is preferred but not required. Related field experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in business, marketing, sales, engineering, or related field is required. Selling experience, preferably in HVAC/R, mechanical distribution or engineering field a positive. The incumbent must be able to maintain complete confidentiality of any information s/he encounters and willing to accept restrictive covenants.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Excellent communicator with positive attitude and energy. A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player. Skillful with computers, including Microsoft Office Suite, Email and Internet. An experienced sales professional who is energetic, forward-thinking and self-assured, with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image. Experience with public speaking a definite asset.
