Have you done industrial construction, expansions and installations? Do you bring project management experience?
Our client is offering a competitive salary, local projects and a loyal customer base. As the Mechanical Construction Engineer you will supervise all phases of industrial construction, equipment upgrades and facility renovation in the Western MD region. You will assist in planning and scheduling to accommodate minimal downtime for your manufacturing clients.
Duties Include:
ï Participate in project review/approval process
ï Assist in client and contractor negotiations, manage the RFI process
ï Assist in costs and time estimations to define project scope
ï Supervise all of phases of work on site including change orders
ï Review JSAs and enforce safety measures
ï Order materials and manage resource allocations, expedite material deliveries
ï Communicate with clients regularly to review progress and troubleshoot issues
ï Meet weekly with the Operations Manager for collaboration and planning
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management (significant experience in Industrial Manufacturing may be considered in lieu of Degree)
2-3 years experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
3+ years experience in construction project management
Understanding of Flow, and Piping & Instrumentation diagrams
Exceptional organization, planning and scheduling skills, able to work independently
Strengths in leadership and negotiation
Proficiency with MS Excel - MS Project or Primavera a plus
Base salary is $70-100,000/year with bonus potentials and exceptional benefits.
