Job Profile SummaryProvide overall support to design, implement, and support the Servers and Network environment for a University Campus. Design, install, analyze, troubleshoot, and evaluate new and existing server and network systems, such as local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), WiFi, Virtual and Physical Servers Firewalls, and Internet systems. Perform server and network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.Duties & ResponsibilitiesWork with Infrastructure Support Team Lead to select and configure new server and network componentsPerform regular maintenance on server and network equipmentTroubleshoot server and network failuresQualificationsExperience/Education Required

  • 5-15 years experience with servers and networks
  • BS in Computer Science or related field.

  • Design and Analytic Ability
  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostics
  • Customer Facing Communication
  • Strong Technical skills in a variety of Server and Network
  • Experiencewith:
    • Client Virtual Server Environment
    • Firewalls
    • Commercialgrade WiFi access points and related components.
    • Microsoft Server Operating System
    • Segmenting Networks and VLAN
    • Network and Server Monitoring concepts and tools
    • IP addressing schemes
  • Security Certification
Skills Preferred
  • User level familiarity with ServiceNowHelp Desk TicketSystem
  • Manage Exchange environment
  • Familiar with conversion from exchange to 365
  • Active Directory set up and troubleshoot
Other Requirements
  • Good communications
  • Ability to interact with clients periodically
Physical Demands
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor
