Headquartered in Ambridge, PA, Beemac Inc. operates over 400 trucks, and has 34 terminals nationwide.Job Summary:As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing and working to resolve past due and overall aged AR accounts. This includes working with sales teams and customers to provide appropriate steps to resolve billing disputes as well as timely escalations through the collections process.Responsibilities and Duties:

Track and resolve outstanding payment issues and generate weekly aging reports in a timely manner.

Initiate calls and/or correspondence with customers to inquire about outstanding A/R balances.

Place collection calls and initiate written correspondence to customers.

Monitor and maintain assigned accounts - customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write off and customer reconciliations.

Conduct account research and analysis to resolve billing disputes and payment discrepancies.

Reduce delinquency for assigned accounts.

Enlist the efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process.

Communicate and follow up effectively with direct manager regarding customer accounts on a timely basis.

Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customers and company staff.

Weekly and monthly reporting to direct supervisor.

Reconcile customer disputes as they pertain to payment of outstanding balances.

Meet defined department goals.

Retain procedural information with note taking.

Provide top notch customer service to both internal and external customers.

Perform special assignments/projects as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Must be able to work full time, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with overtime as needed.

A college degree in accounting or similar is preferred.

2-4 years of experience in accounts receivable, customer service, or collections.

Must be able to work independently based on periodic guidance and direction - with excellent organization, accuracy and follow-up skills.

Time Management; able to effectively work on multiple tasks at a given time and maintain a high performance on each task.

Strong communication skills to include verbal and written.

Able to use Microsoft Office Suite as well as various technology and web-based software.

Must be able to perform tasks in a timely and safe matter.
