Chemist - Allison Park, PA12 month assignmentThe Chemist will utilize Analytical Physical and thermal testing techniques for the purpose of supporting new product development efforts for coatings and chemical products business units. Responsibilities will include sample preparation, data collection, data interpretation, report writing in the area of physical and thermal testing, particularly DMA, Instron, Rheology, and TMA. Candidate must take initiative, be able to work independently, work well in a team, have good problem solving skills, and be able to clearly communicate their findings both verbally and through written reports.Experience and Education: BS degree in Chemistry with 0-5 years experience. This position is for daylight shift with hours of 8:00am-4:30pm.Functional and Technical SkillsThe successful candidate must be experienced in analytical instrumentation, careful sample preparation, and problem solving techniques. Previous experience with the application of DMA, Instron, Rheology, and TMA techniques is desired. The candidate must also possess good writing and interpersonal skills as well as organizational and multi-tasking abilities. Good communication skills are required including the ability to effectively write reports and give presentations.
