We operate 8 Clubhouses and Teen Centers in addition to a Health & Dental Services Center, T3: Training Teens for Tomorrow workforce development program, community athletic leagues, and outreach programs to schools and communities. Currently, we serve over 10,600 youth, many of whom are from economically disadvantaged homes, qualify for free or reduced lunch, and live in single-parent households.

ABOUT POSITION:

Implement programs, services and activities that prepare youth for success while providing guidance and role modeling to youth through case management.

Oversee Salem Teen Court Lead, a diversion program for first-time and low-level youth offenders.

Provide direct supervision to assigned staff and volunteers associated with Teen Court.

Ensure grant reporting for Salem Teen Court

Help plan and implement annual Teen Court Luncheon event.

Initiate new strategic partnerships with the approval of the Workforce Readiness Director;

Recommend the development of new programs and services, promote and stimulate program participation.

Take the lead on training, service-learning, and community-based internships opportunities targeting teens with barriers to employment.

Provide indirect supervision and support to T3 program staff serving at satellite sites; provide ongoing feedback; and identify and support development opportunities.

Oversee Career Networking Night

Collaborate with Workforce Readiness Manager and Workforce Readiness Director on the Industry Tour

Will be required to drive Club van to transport youth

Note: this is a grant-funded position. Annual renewal is contingent on continuation of grant funding.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Successful applicants must address the following in a cover letter:

Bachelors degree in related field, plus a minimum of two years experience planning and implementing programs targeting teens.

Prior experience coordinating volunteer service, service-learning or internship opportunities.

Prior involvement with first-time/low-level offenders or delinquency prevention programs.

Working knowledge of career readiness resources.

Prior experience providing case management for youth with barriers to success.

Ability to speak in public, with prior experience presenting in individual and group settings.

Ability to maintain professional communications, both oral and in writing (email, etc).

Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications (within 90 days).

Valid State Drivers License and three years clean driving record

Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred

Ability to pass drug test and background check

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to speak, hear, and maintain high mental and visual attention at all times.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, be able to stand and sit for extended periods and be able to walk moderate distances.

Ability to travel between locations and attend meetings outside of regular operating hours.

Typical work hours: School Year - 10am-7pm, Monday-Friday with 1 hour break daily; Some weekend hours may be necessary, but should not exceed 40 hours per week.

Ability to drive a 14 passenger bus, with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
