Key Responsibilities:

- Directs safety program activities for specific area and crew

- Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications

- Be able to verify and correct the setup and adjustment of machinery

- Able to work all shifts as required

- Interpret company policies and procedures to workers and enforce them

- Communicate with other supervisors and management to achieve company standards and production

requirements

- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency

- Initiates or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve company standards and goals

- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems

- Have a working knowledge of all equipment used and activities performed by employees

- Models Company core values

Requirements:

- College degree or prior supervisory experience preferred

- Comprehensive knowledge of all sawmill machine centers

- Excellent problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication skills

- Good at multi-tasking

- Good organizational skills

- Must be available for shift work schedules

- PC operation (Word, Excel, etc.)

- Ability to coach and lead a diverse workforce

- Ability and desire to advance to higher levels of supervision
