RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for an energetic, person-centered employee who can help us expand our thrift retail offerings in Douglas County by providing outstanding customer service and production. This position will PROCESS (accept, sort, price) thrift donations at our Sutherlin store and may fill in as Cashier as needed. Training will be provided to become a Direct Support Professional for individuals with disabilities in our Retail Job Training Program. Part-time hours may include evenings and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 4-6 months experience in a retail setting and proven, stable employment history. High School Diploma or GED. Experience working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred but not required. Experience with Microsoft Office suite is preferred but not required. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid Oregon drivers license and insurable by Sunrise insurance carrier. Must have desire to work with people with disabilities. Must be able to pass criminal history check and drug screen, including negative for all marijuana products due to federal contracts.
Physical requirements: Must be able to stand through majority of work shift; grasp, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel. Must be able to lift 20-30 lbs. routinely unassisted; 50 lbs. on occasion with assistance.
