We are blowing up 2020 with New Classes, New Artists, We are looking for a mixed media Master Instructor to lead our classes and class development both in-studio and leading our virtual online classes on Zoom and Facebook Live. Must be comfortable behind the camera as well as teaching workshops in the studio.

Job Requirements:

This is a mixed media position, and you must be fluent in most of the following mediums:

Acrylic Painting

o 2 Hour step by step workshops on canvas

o Create new designs for the monthly calendar

o Instruct in-person workshops both in-studio & online

Pottery Painting

o Specialty glaze & underglazes

o Create new designs for Paint your own Pottery

o Create seasonal pottery workshops for the monthly calendar

o Instruct in-person workshops both in-studio & online

o Stay up to do date with new pottery painting techniques

o Kiln firing & clear coating

Clay Building

o Pinch pots

o Hand-building mugs & pressing plates

o Instruct in-person workshop series

o Understanding of Glaze & kiln firing

Wood Sign Painting

o Create new designs

o Instruct in-person workshops both in-studio & online

Acrylic Paint Pouring

o Instruct in-person workshops both in-studio & online

Glass Fusing

o Create seasonal designs

o Instruct in-person workshops both in-studio & online

Additional requirements:

Comfortable in front of people in person & behind the camera

Design & Implement class curriculums

Generate Monthly Calendar & Planning

Love Art & People

Be available to work weekdays including some evenings

Social Media Capable “Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Zoom & Youtube”

Great Organization skills

Self-Motivated

Team Player

Alcohol Servers Permit

We are a family-owned business located in the PNW. We are the NW’s Premier hands-on Art Activity center with three locations in the NW. Since our inception, we have hosted over 75,000 everyday people through art workshops and events. With just over 11,000sqft in our Portland location 1800sqft in our Sunriver location and our newest store 3000sqft in Vancouver, Washington. We offer three great locations for classes, corporate events, and parties. We are open 6-7 days a week from 10 am to 6 pm to qualify to join our team you must be flexible with your availability and can work some evenings and weekends.

Basic Working Conditions:

The employee must have their own method of dependable transportation and work full time during normal business hours. Overtime and work on weekends may be needed. The employee must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Although this position may be in an office environment, at times this position may be required to lift over 25 lbs. The employee will be required to have the ability to stoop, kneel, and handle objects for filing.
