Tool Design Engineer Job in Portland, ORKelly Engineering is currently seeking a qualified Tool Design Engineer for a direct hire job in Portland, OR. Our client is global and a market leader in their industry and they are seeking to hire someone for a Direct Hire position to join their team. This is a direct hire, full-time, first shift position and your salary will range from $80K-$110K annually, based on your skillset and experience level. Tooling Design – focusing on design of progressive dies
Design of molds, gauges, fixtures, jigs, prototype dies, and other tooling as needed
Review designs
Partner with manufacturing to improve tooling performance and develop new tooling
Participate in project meetings, cost estimation, scheduling
Collect, compile, and analyze tooling performance data
Submit status reports on projects
Generate and execute ECO’s for red-lined drawing updates
Job Requirements:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar role
Must have experience designing progressive dies
Experience with carbide tooling
Must have experience with 3D Modeling using 3D CAD software (Solidworks preferred)
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent
