lanate Management Group is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in the South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
The Information Manager will be responsible for managing and monitoring communication, and the preparation of reports to ensure communication needs of the program, projects, and stakeholders are met. You will also be responsible for identifying, articulating and communicating the needs between NAVFAC, CNIC, CNRSW, and other stakeholders to ensure stakeholders are receiving the support required, and are aware of program initiatives, interdependencies, risks, and issues.
The work assignment will be at a remote DOD test facility in the South-Central California desert.
This is contingent on the award of the contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and execute communication management plan to ensure communication is effective and timely for program and project stakeholders (internal and external)
Conduct data analytics to monitor, analyze, and synthesize numerous reports, timelines, trends, and interdependencies for leadership and stakeholders to incorporate into decision-making process
Support, coordinate, prepare and submit requests for information (RFIs) from various sources
Identify critical external and internal decision and data input points and provide timely reminders/warnings to management
Notify and/or advise the GPMO of any potential conflicts or delays caused by active projects that could impact projects pending planning, design, and construction award
Assist agencies in planning, initiating, managing, executing, and closing out of projects
Lead and communicate with stakeholders
Provide project planning and scheduling review and expert opinion
Provide project management, including performance monitoring and measurement
Generate reports and documentation associated with project/program objectives
Coordinate and lead stakeholder briefings and encourage proper participation in required meetings
Provide related project support services; program integration services; and project closeout services
Advise senior leadership of conflicts that cannot be handled without a government directive. Provide the background and a proposed solution to the situation
Communicate daily with the OICC Program Manager and be aware of any major initiatives or decisions.
Coordinate and advise program leadership with planning, initiating, managing, execution and closeout via briefs, meetings, discussions
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications To be successful in the role:
Degree in Engineering from a four-year accredited Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) university or an architecture degree from a National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) accredited university and/or MBA from an accredited program
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) / Registered Architect (RA) and/or attainment of an MBA is highly desired
Certification as a PMP with the Project Management Institute (PMI) or CCM with the Construction Management Association of American (CMAA) is also highly desirable
Minimum of 5 years Program Coordinator experience and in database management
At least 3 years’ experience using Microsoft Access 2016+ or equivalent database application: importing various source data; creating forms for user inputs; integrating data to create queries and reports; and exporting/publishing to interface with other programs (e.g. SharePoint)
Knowledge and use of Primavera P6 scheduling software, along with an understanding of scheduling concepts. Strong skills in using PC computer with software compatible with existing NAVFAC software (i.e. MS Access, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, etc.)
Knowledge and understanding of the requirements within the Army Corps of Engineers EM-385-1-1, Safety and Health manual and/or the OSHA 29 CFR 1926, Construction Regulations is highly desirable
Excellent English verbal and communication skills
Holds current drivers’ license
Able to complete an SF-85-P, Questionnaire for Public Trust Positions necessary for base/building access requirements
Must lawfully reside in the United States and be eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits)
