Read this post to the end before applying; this will be your first test to see if you are a possible candidate! I am looking for a sales person to train into a store manager. I have a large shop, 3000 square feet in the heart of Nye Beach. You need to have common sense. You need excellent sales skills, management experience, inventory control experience, merchandising expertise, you must have a mechanical aptitude as you will be building fixtures and product displays. This is NOT a clerking position, you will not be doing any cashiering at all, ever. You will be selling, merchandising, cleaning, busting out large orders of merchandise. You will start off on a decent pay rate which will climb quickly and generously if you demonstrate your abilities. You must have a sense of humor, NOT be political or caught up in anything political and it is never ever discussed in the shop. This is a laid back, yet strictly organized shop. You must be self motivated and directed and not have to be babysat every step of the way. The shop gets extremely busy so you MUST BE ABLE TO MULTI TASK. You will be part time to start as a manager you will move up to full time. YOU MUST LOVE ANIMALS We are in part a fund raising organization for animals in need. We are respected within the community and enjoy a good reputation with our customers. You must be able to lift heavy boxes and get up on a 4' ladder. There is NEVER down time, there is ALWAYS something to do. You must be able to follow directions.
