Social Services – Eligibility Specialist at LCOG (Florence)

Lane Council of Governments (LCOG) seeks an Eligibility Specialist for its Senior & Disability Services (S&DS) Division. These positions are in Eugene and one is in Florence. The Eligibility Specialist is part of a fast-paced, deadline-driven team where accuracy, efficiency, and excellent customer service are essential. This position is characterized by frequent customer contact in the office or on the telephone, applying rules and policies, processing a high volume of detailed desk work, and using multiple computer databases to determine eligibility for and support to Medicaid and SNAP (Food Stamp) program recipients. The incumbent has the authority to grant or deny financial, medical or other benefits to applicants, based on established standards and criteria.
