Varney Manufacturing has a full time position open for Materials Handling. This position will receive all incoming raw material as well as prep jobs to go to the shop floor.
Primary Responsibilities:
Receive material off trucks
Load and unload delivery trucks
Receive shipping paperwork, verification of documents, material type and quantities.
Identify material to AS9100 documents
Cut and maintain raw materials
Stage and prepare material for shop floor
Occasional assembly of finished parts
Operate Forklift
Maintain clean environment and workspace
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
Understand and adhere to proper shipping and receiving practices
Basic Math Skills
Able to be certified with/and operate a forklift
Maintain staging and packaging areas in a clean, orderly manner
Able to serve as a backup driver occasionally
Ability to professionally communicate and work cooperatively with others
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Legible handwriting and literate in English
Willingness to learn and receive training
Ability to move quickly in a fast paced shop environment
Self Motivated and Problem Solving Skills
Experience:
Entry Level will train. Experience is a plus.
