New Horizons Woodworks is a rapidly growing custom cabinet and architectural woodworking company that specializes in large commercial projects such as medical facilities and schools. We have an immediate opening for a Project Engineer & Drafter.
Position Responsibilities:
Interprets architectural drawings and specifications
Drafts highly detailed shop drawings using AutoCAD
Processes production engineering packages using Microvellum, which will include materials takeoff, cutlists, G-code, labels, and reports
Prepares and delivers document submittals to the client within schedule
Provides assistance to Project Managers to resolve project challenges
Communicates clearly to coworkers and customers about project details
Conducts accurate field measurements at active construction sites
Basic Qualifications:
Drafting experience with AutoCAD
Good verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to travel to our Ashland based office on a daily basis
Positive attitude and good teamwork skills
Fluency in Microsoft Office tools, Adobe Acrobat
Must have a valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Construction management or related field
1-2 years of cabinetry/construction industry experience
Experience with Microvellum, WoodWOP software
Experience with interpreting architectural drawings and specifications
Working knowledge of casework and millwork manufacturing process
