POSITION SUMMARY
The BottleDrop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations of assigned BottleDrop Redemption Center. The ideal candidate will act in a positive, professional manner while supervising a team of employees to meet business and safety demands. Additional responsibilities include customer service, cash handling, maintaining equipment, loading and unloading trailers, efficient processing of materials and maintaining cleanliness of facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Adhere to OSHA Safety Standards and OBRC policies including but not limited to Personal Protective Equipment and Lock Out Tag Out
· Oversee day-to-day operations at assigned BottleDrop Redemption Center
· Supervise Material Handlers and Customer Service Associates to complete daily work assignments, maintain company standards, and follow company policies and procedures
· Lead team members in providing a positive and safe environment for all associates
· Responsible for opening and/or closing the BottleDrop Redemption Center
· Assist with the hiring process by facilitating BottleDrop tours, interviews, employee onboarding and training
· Write and distribute team schedule
· Educate and introduce customers to Oregon’s Bottle Bill and the BottleDrop system
· Troubleshoot and maintain equipment, including pre-sorts, reverse vending machines (RVMs), floor scrubber, pay station, kiosks and printers
· Ensure accuracy of cash handling and reconciliation
· Approve timecards within electronic timekeeping system
· Escalate repair issues when necessary
· Coordinate incoming and outgoing material and trailers
· Maintain supply inventory and submit monthly supply orders
· Communicate with other departments within OBRC as needed
· Perform the functions of a Material Handler and Customer Service Associate
· Other job duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or equivalent education is required
· Minimum of 2 years supervisory/management experience is required, preferably in a retail or production environment
· Cash handling experience
· Excellent customer service skills with ability to effectively diffuse and resolve customer complaints
· Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate professionally at all levels with internal and external business partners
· Ability to prioritize and multi-task
· Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel
· Must not pose a direct safety threat to himself/herself or others
