Kforce has a client that is seeking entry-level NOC Linux Support Technicians to join our Network Operations Center for a global technology leader in Corvallis, Oregon (OR). The NOC operates 24/7/365 and we are currently hiring Part-Time/Weekend support. The NOC is part of a larger group where our goal is to develop our NOC team into Systems Administrators, Tools Engineers or DevOps Engineers.Summary:This group monitors roughly 1000 servers supporting 7 million connected customers. The position requires the qualified person to be proactive and requires attention to detail while monitoring all of these servers. The individual will need to seek resolutions to problems identified, work trouble tickets that come via email and coordinate escalation of issues as needed.
Basic/intermediate understanding of Linux
Any Tier 1 help desk experience
Monitoring experience is a plus
Dedicated, independent problem solver
Good attention to detail
Customer service focus and understanding
Teamwork
Any relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
