Great American Furniture Warehouse is looking for a full time furniture sales person for our Bend store. This position is open immediately.
Who is Great American Furniture Warehouse?
We are a family owned business with 2 stores in Bend and Redmond. We have been selling furniture in Bend and Redmond since 1978 and have a big reputation in the area. We sell 2 dozen brands of furniture including living room, bedroom, dining, home office and more! Our mission is offering great quality at the best prices in Central Oregon. To do so we purchase in large quantities and have large warehouses to accommodate. We prefer to run on volume vs. margin. This also means our customers can get furniture quickly without order time in a lot of cases.
What type of person are we looking for?
We are looking for a outgoing customer service oriented person who can help customers coming in our store find the perfect furniture for them. Retail/sales experience is preferred, but general customer service is a good foundation. Computer skills are a plus. Keeping the store stocked and displayed nice is a daily task. The better the store looks the more you can sell. This involves lifting and carrying or moving furniture with a hand truck from the warehouse to the showroom or moving things around the showroom. Must also be able to assist in loading furniture into vehicles for customer load outs. Warehouse work and unloading semi trucks will happen once or twice per week as well.
How much can you make?
Pay is commission and there is no cap limit. If you can learn the product and sell furniture the sky is the limit! Our average sales person makes $30,000 to $50,000 per year.
We have plenty of new and repeat customers from 40 years in business. Having a huge selection of in stock product at the best prices in Central Oregon helps a lot too. Selling at Great American is fun and easy! Store hours are 10 AM to 6 PM Monday to Saturday and 10 AM to 4 PM Sunday. Working weekends is required, as it is our busiest days of the week (and your best opportunity to make sales & commission).
