As one of the nations fastest growing kombucha companies, Humm Kombucha is on a quest to put the goodness of Humm in the hands of as many people as possible.

We are hiring a Fermentation Technician who creates our kombucha by brewing tea, fermenting, and finishing the product with flavor and carbonation in the most effective and efficient way.

What Youll Be Doing:

In this role, youll be responsible for every aspect of the product from start to finish, implementing strict, predetermined procedures and protocol. Working in compliance with Food Safety Management System and GMPs, you will adhere to SQF standards and perform brewing operations according to SOPs & SSOPs. Daily reporting includes process checklists and reporting across departments. Maintaining accurate records of all brewing processes through a variety of methods and software. Must be able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events and react well under pressure. This position requires lifting 55lbs frequently, working at heights while lifting, working in a loud, acidic and humid working environment and working on your feet for 8-10 hour shifts. Flexibility to work all shifts (weekends, evenings, holidays, on call), ability to work with forklifts, pallet jacks, high powered pumps, chemicals, extreme temperature liquids and heavy equipment is required. This position works 3rd shift (overnights, weekends & holidays).

Whats Required for Consideration:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 6 months brewing experience in a professional brewing/fermentation environment, manufacturing/food processing experience considered

Willingness and enthusiasm for 3rd shift (overnights, weekends, holidays).

Strong verbal communication & organization skills.

Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events and react well under pressure.

Ability to follow precise instructions

Manual labor experience

Willingness to learn

Proficient in the basic computer skills; spreadsheets, email & word processing. Google Suite experience preferred

Be able to obtain forklift operator certification
