Arclight Dynamics is a leading manufacturer of precision CNC plasma systems used in a variety of production capacities by businesses across the globe. Located in Bend Oregon and founded in 2011, Arclight Dynamics is a rapidly expanding, successful company with incredible advancement potential. Arclight Dynamics is currently seeking to fill the critical position of Supply Chain Specialist.
The Supply Chain Specialist purchases all parts necessary for our assembly/fabrication process. This position will receive parts, maintain inventory, establish minimum quantities and create effective ordering procedures. The Supply Chain Specialist will be required to keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company at all times. Currently, the Supply Chain Specialist will be working with approximately 55 vendors; order, stock and track approximately 350 items; and purchase approximately $500,000 worth of product monthly.
Related Duties and Responsibilities:
Purchasing, inventory control, forecasting, warehousing, and data entry utilizing QuickBooks Enterprise
Manage vendor relationships (e.g. third party logistics)
Develop and execute the supply chain strategy for the organization
Address tactical and strategic supply chain issues
Stay informed of advances in supply chain technology and approaches, and apply within the organization to improve supply chain processes
Develop and implement new systems, best practices, inventory control, demand planning, and other optimizations in order to grow the business
Negotiate cost reductions with suppliers/vendors
Identify primary and alternate sources for each item needed and encourage suppliers to remain competitive to achieve best value (quality, lead time, parts and service)
Establish and enforce procedures to ensure proper recording, storage and tracking of all items purchased by the company
Prepare and issue POs for complex or specialized parts/materials to support production and sales
Contact carriers to negotiate contracts/pricing, troubleshoot problems, and to arrange or coordinate challenging shipments
Perform precise and accurate data management within company's ERP system
Qualification/Requirements:
Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or other related discipline preferred
Experience handling vendor relationships. Must be knowledgeable and have experience with inventory control methodology, cycle counts, and Inventory/Warehouse Management Systems.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years experience in purchasing and inventory management in a manufacturing warehouse or distribution environment.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Experience using ERP/MRP systems specifically Quickbooks Enterprise and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
