Essential Job Functions:

The ability to stand for extensive periods of time.

The ability to bend over, reach upwards or outward, twist, turn around, and climb up on ladders in a timely fashion.

The ability to perform a variety of jobs at a very rapid pace.

The ability to perform job tasks repetitiously at a very rapid pace for extensive periods of time.

The ability to work in an environment with temperature fluctuations.

The ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance.

The ability to understand and to follow directions.

The ability to use equipment including telephones, cash registers, calculators, knives, can openers, scales, ovens, fryers, heat wells, and dish washing machines.

The ability to lift very heavy objects, weighing up to and possibly over 40 pounds, with or without assistance.

Major Job Responsibilities:

Food preparation including the washing, cutting, portioning, grating, preparation, cooking, and/or slicing of vegetables, meats, cheeses, breads, and/or desserts.

Setting up the store for lunch, cleaning up and re-setting the store after the shift, closing down the store after the dinner shift.

Food service positions including prep, cooking, expediting, running the fryer, steam wells, oven or any other equipment, preparing orders for in house, drive thru, and to go, restocking, bussing, washing dishes, and any other task which a supervisor or manager may ask you to perform.

Learning job positions functions and then being able to instruct others on how to perform those same functions.

Reading customers’ tickets and ringing up correct menu price amounts, communicating with the customer regarding money owed, and counting change or processing credit card charges.

Verifying cash drawer before shift begins, during the shift properly completing forms and documenting over-rings.

Complying with the application of tax tables based on city, county, or state tax requirements.

At the end of the shift, balancing cash drawer, reconciling charges, cash, and checks, completing a daily sales report, and completing a change order slip.

Taking customers’ orders over the telephone, writing the correct menu abbreviations and prices, and turning the order in to the cook.

Food preparation including the washing, cutting, portioning, grating, preparation, cooking, and/or slicing of vegetables, meats, cheeses, breads, and/or desserts

Secondary Job Responsibilities:

Bussing tables and washing dishes.

Cleaning projects which will require using chemicals to clean all areas in the store, including sweeping and mopping, and scrubbing all floor areas including moving equipment in order to scrub behind and underneath it, cleaning and wiping counters, walls, pictures, cabinets, and other artifacts, cleaning and scrubbing equipment including fryers, steam well, ovens knives, can openers, pots and pans, sinks, walk-in coolers, freezer, scales, racks, and shelves.

Performing maintenance duties including standing on ladders to change light bulbs, to clean air vents, and to clean ceiling tiles, as well as other items.

Daily organizing of products including lifting heavy orders of product, putting up heavy orders of product in the walk-in cooler and other storage areas, re-arranging product in the walk-in cooler and products at other display locations, arranging items in cabinets.

Making food runs to the customers in the dining area, restocking ice bin, pies, tea, and any other item that may need to be restocked, and getting refills for customers if requested.

Stocking, checking and changing sanitized water as needed.

Statement of Performance:

The General Manager and his or her Assistant Managers will evaluate a new employee during the ninety-day introductory period. After the introductory period, the General Manager and his or her Assistants evaluate performance on an on-going basis and salary increases are given at any time, as determined by the General Manager.

Statement of Totality:

This position will include any and all other essential and secondary duties assigned by management to ensure the proper functioning of operations in the store.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $8.00 to $14.00 /hour (depends on experience and position)
