Custodian

Job Summary: Responsible for cleaning any areas assigned, including floor care (carpet, extraction, riding burnisher/scrubber) and / or operation of other cleaning machinery. Responsible for waste collection and removal including biomedical waste, recycling and cleaning chutes and trash receptacles. All responsibilities are completed following safe work practices and infection control procedures and in order to maintain a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors and employees.Education: High School Diploma or GED preferredLicensure, Registration and/or Certification: None.Work Experience: 0 - 6 months general work experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be able to read and write or understand oral instructions and safety signage. Be physically able to meet the physical requirements and working conditions of the job. Ability to prioritize work in an efficient and effective manner. Ability to utilize basic computer skills. Ability to support unit/hospital goals through educational activities. Ability to attend mandatory in-services and meets all unit education standards.EOE Protected Veterans/Disability
