PRIMARY PURPOSE:
A Production Associate is primarily responsible for the safe and reliable operation of equipment in the manufacturing of vinyl sheet and plank flooring to produce quality products for our customers.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Reports to Production Supervisor/Production Manager
Works closely and in cooperation with plant Process and Project Engineers
Implements systems compatible with requirements of ISO certification
Works closely and in cooperation with operating teams and focus areas
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to make independent judgment calls in a fast-paced environment and under high-stress situations
Capability to operate equipment; quickly and accurately recognize product and equipment issues as they arise
Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and correct problems with manufacturing equipment
Continuous improvement focus
Ability to work in a semi-autonomous environment
Strong communication skills verbal and oral
Electronic Communication skills: ability to effectively use information systems including personal computers, fax and telephones, and other office equipment
