Must be able to perform journeyman electrician like work in a safe and productive manner on heavy commercial and light industrial electrical projects. (example tasks: diagnose malfunctioning systems, read blueprints, install wires and fixtures, wall rough-in)
A journeyman electrician must remain in compliance with current National Electric Code
Able to meet a 40hour work week with possible overtime.
Needs to be able to follow safety rules.
High School diploma or GED and/or Vocational school diploma or certification.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screens
Should be able to work in various weather conditions
Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs.
Notes:
This position requires specific experience in commercial /industrial electrical installations
Your skill level and competency for this job will be assessed through a hands-on assessment
- The assessment for a journeyman electrician will include: installing wall boxes, installing 45’ of 3/4” conduit for HR/tie in conduit for plugs or trim-out, pulling wire for 3-way and HR/make joints terminate all electrical equipment trim-out, basic math, tape measuring, and material recognition.
The results of the hands-on assessment will help determine compensation
