Charlesson, LLC / EyeCRO, LLC, an ocular pharmaceutical and contract research company is seeking highly motivated individuals for a full time Research Assistant I position. This person will be responsible for participating in a wide variety of laboratory-based activities related to chemistry to advance our innovative MiDROPS„ platform as well as animal procedures.

Requirements: Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacy or a related field.

Experience: 12 months experience as a Research Technician.

Representative Duties:

1. Routine wet chemistry (preparation of buffers and solutions, weighing, formulation preparation, etc.).

2. Operation of various analytical instruments (HPLC, LC/MS, and liquid handlers).

3. Animal handling/husbandry.

4. Animal procedures. Includes blood collection, eye drop instillation, oral gavage, various injection methods.

5. Record keeping. Records all observations, data, information during research.

6. Data analysis. Conducts analyses of data.

7. Report preparation. Prepares reports containing data and analysis.

8. Material presentation. Presents research material to fellow researchers.

9. Collaboration. Works with fellow researchers.

10. Laboratory upkeep. Maintains a clean and tidy work space.

11. Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Skills/Abilities:

1. Ability to work in a team setting.

2. Knowledge of basic chemical and analytical chemistry methods and techniques is required.

3. Data analysis software.

4. MS Office applications.

5. Ability to manage multiple projects.

6. Excellent organizational and time management skills.

7. Careful attention to detail.

8. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

9. Must feel comfortable working with animals in a laboratory setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience working in a chemistry lab.

2. Experience working in a pharmacology lab.

3. Experience with analytical equipment such as HPLC and LC/MS.

Job Type: Full-time, Salaried.

Work Schedule: Five days per week; in addition, work can include weekends.

Salary Range: $28,000-31,000/year or commensurate with experience.
